Can you believe how quickly Paisley's 1st birthday is coming up?

Yesterday was Raylee's 1st birthday. We'll be going to her party on Saturday.

Yesterday Meredith showed off her kissing skills. She gave me a kiss.. then gave Joel a kiss:

Today we're going for a picnic.... since there's a house showing tonight, and it saves my dining room from getting messy. I'll try to carry my camera more often.

Videos

Was watching some old videos... and kept expecting Paisley to say uh oh in it, when she dropped the peacock.

I really should get some video of her walking. Since now she seems to have moved on to running.

Picnic on Friday

We went for a picnic last friday. We had a showing that evening, and I didn't want the kids to mess up the house. Heather and Molly joined us, and we went to Henderson Lake. Molly played on the playground for a bit, then we went for a walk around the lake.

It's funny... apparently

One of Paisley's favorite new activity is crawling through the legs of the chair in the living. She has such giggle fits while she's doing it. You can't help but laugh. She thinks it's hilarious! Almost as hilarious as going down stairs. This day however, Joel was pushing the chair while she was doing it. They like to rearrange the furniture during the day.

Flowers

I got flowers for my birthday (from Dave and Cheryl - Grandma and Grandpa Schroeder).
IMG_0483.JPG

This morning our agent took us to see several houses. There was one we really quite liked. This afternoon she had an open house at our house, so we went and looked at some new built houses. And we found one we REALLY liked. So we will look more into it this week, and find out if it's feesible.

Our agent keeps telling us that our house is showing well... so we're hoping for an offer sometime soon.

This evening we had some friends and their son over for a bbq dinner, and got a chance to catch up with them a little.

All in all, it was a good day.

Saturday Slice - birdhouses

Watching the birds fly in and out of the neighbour;s attic through a woodpecker hole, made me think of birdhouses, so that is my pick for today's Saturday Slice.

On the Farm

This last weekend I went up to Edmonton for Edmonton Extravaganza.  A papercrafting event.  I had such a good time.   Josh and Paisley stayed in Crossfield for the weekend.  On Sunday they got to go out to the Tillman farm.

There are tonnes of pictures.... so we're doing it in installments... means more posts.... since I've been slacking lately... that's a good thing.

Here's Paisley meeting the miniature horse (who was due to calf any day).  Grandpa and Grandma tried to convince her it was alright.

Days gone by

Wow, the days are going fast.

Friday/Saturday we had several showings, Sunday Josh's parents were here finishing up the stairs to the basement (they look great!). Monday Josh and I went to look at several houses. There was a couple we liked, but they were on the very upper end of our limit, so we will keep looking.

Yesterday we were at home all day with the kids, then went and test drove a couple vehicles in the evening.

Today we have a showing. SO I'm hoping the babes go down for their nap really soon so I can finish swiffering and dusting. That way when they wake up, I can just load them in the car. This showing is a repeat showing... so that's promising! They wanted to come back for a second look.

I'll be happy once we are sold, I won't have to be so meticulous in everything I do. It's hard to keep the house spotless with 2 mobile babies, 2 cats, and 2 busy adults.

The card reader and cords for the cameras are tucked away due to showings, and so I have no pictures to share right now. But hopefully soon!!

A Day In The Life....

I started off the other day (I think it was Thursday... but might have been Wednesday), taking pictures of our typical day with 2 kids. But then things happened, and I didn't get very far.

The kiddos... just playing at the gates (very normal)
IMG_0437.JPG

Took away the walking toy, because Paisley was insistent on plowing over Joel, repetitively.
IMG_0436.JPG

It was just after this that things changed. I'd taken the toy away about 3 minutes when Paisley decided to walk on her own. SHe walked across the living room to give Joel a toy (about 10 steps). See..... she didn't need it! And she's been cruising since.

But right after her first lone walk.... she celebrated:

By taking off her shirt. Yes... my child refuses to keep socks and shoes on... but now has started removing shirts.
