This last weekend was the annual Calgary Classic. Which is a paper crafting event for us Alberta girls (there are also events in Edmonton and Olds every years as well). I had such a great time, and got lots of visiting with my online friends, as well as lots of inspiration. I got my paper crafting mojo back! This is my second year in attendance, as well as the 2nd year its been run. It's lots of fun, there's challenges, swaps, door prizes, make and takes and all sorts of fun and exciting events. ALthough my time at the actual event was more limited this year, due to Paisley's schedule, I had a blast.
First off, the ladies that welcomed me to their table when I arrived on Friday (I think I was only invited because Paisley was with me at the time ;)). Deb, Linda and Geri (I sat near Deb and Geri last year as well): Not the best pictures, I didn't bring my camera out til I was about to leave, and just snapped them quickly.
There were so many talented ladies there. Here are some of the swaps I received (once again, terrible pictures, as I waited til 10 pm to take them:
And here are a few of my creations on the weekend:
I had one other card that I swapped out that was a flower, but I gave them all away.... so none to take a picture of. But I do plan to recreate it.
Anyway, great weekend for me. Paisley stayed with Josh and Grandma and Grandpa Schroeder. Saturday she wasn't a very happy camper, and wouldn't eat much, but Sunday went much better. Sunday evening we got to FEAST at Great Grandma (Gigi) and Grandpa Ritz's before heading back home.
