The Sutters and my first hockey-related injury in 3+ years.

The Sutter brothers were inducted to the Hurricanes Hall of Fame this evening prior to the start of the game against Medicine Hat. I shot some video on my phone ... it's not great quality, but here's a look at the ceremony (more, including speeches, at www.qik.com/canescast)

I also took a puck in the ribs during the game. We sat in Mark's neighbour's seats tonight: first row just inside the visitors' blue line. A puck was deflected over the glass and into our row, glancing off of Morgan before hitting me. A hockey puck is a hockey puck to me, so Mark claimed it to send back to England for his nephew. I'm hoping tomorrow to see a nice bruise where the puck hit. I really need to get back into playing again :-)

Hockey Season has arrived!

Hurricanes blimp, originally uploaded by Joshua Schroeder.

Well Josh is very excited this year. He has Season's Tickets to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Which means he get to see A LOT of hockey. Here's just one of his photos from the season opener last weekend. Its the blimp that flies around at intermissions.

The Enmax Center: My home away from home

Game 7 shaking hands

I'm thinking of having my mail forwarded to the Enmax Center; I've been spending that much time there. Brian and I took in game 6 of the Hurricanes' opening round series against Brandon on Sunday night. A dominant performance by the 'Canes that was, and they earned themselves a spot in the second round. So Friday and Saturday I'll goto the Hurricane games against Kootenay with some of the guys from work. Tonight, however, we're going to see Paul Brandt, and since Michael went to high school with him, we've managed to get backstage passes.

It should be a fun weekend! If you're looking for me, try section LL at the Enmax.
