We went up to Crossfield this last weekend (despite Paisley being sick). Josh wanted to make some progress on the gift he's making for Paisley for her birthday, and he's running out of weekends. Paisley got to enjoy some time with her grandparents. She's very much a grandpa's girl.

Rag Quilt
I need to take some more pictures of Paisley, so I can update the blog here. But for today, I'm just double posting, and posting the same item as I did on my craft blog. But I just love this fabric, and wanted to share it with you. :)
Haven't been hearing back from many people lately, either. Very few comments. I miss the comments. I love comments! :) I do plan to get back to updating everyday, first thing in the morning. Paisley being sick just threw everything out of whack this last week. I'm happy to report that the fever is 100% gone, and now she's just got a small cough and a stuffed up nose. Last night I put on the humidifier in her room, put her vick's plug in in the outlet, and used saline drops and a nasal aspirator to clean out her nose. And she slept from 8 til 7:30 (which I actually went in to wake her up). So that's good news. Over the weekend she was only giving me about 3/4 hours of sleep at night, and even that was a little interrupted. So I'm very happy.
Ok, here is the post for today:
I finally managed to get pictures of the owl quilt I made last week. This fabric is incredibly adorable and it GLOWS IN THE DARK!
I ended up making one crib size rag quilt, and two mini rag quilts with this fabric.
First off, here is the crib size quilt:
This item can be found in both my Artfire store, and my Etsy store.
Next, here is a photos of the mini quilt:
This item can also be found in both of my online stores: Etsy and Artfire.

Saturday Slice - on Sunday (TRAINS)
Well, although late, here is the latest Saturday Slice. We've had a not so great end to our week, and weekend. Poor little one is just plain miserable.
This week's slice is all about TRAINS! Needed something boyish!

Laying Low
Well I had figured I wouldn't get around to blogging today. We're laying low today due to Paisley having a fever. She's been sleeping a lot today. I also didn't have any pictures to share.
This is where she realized there was people saying hello, so she waved and got excited:
This is where she's relaxing and just watching the "tour"
And finally a shot of her where she can see herself on the screen:
Not a very exciting day, but that's alright. We ended up canceling on a playdate, which I'm glad we did, because what little time she was awake, she wasn't very happy. Tomorrow is playgroup, and it's at our house again. SO I need to get things organized tonight.
Today I sat in on my first Etsy Virtual Lab, kinda like a virtual classroom. Someone presents a topic, and you can ask questions as they go. Paisley was up for about 30 minutes while it was on, so she sat and watched too (she's very cuddly today... and that's SOOOO not like her).

Slacking
Yes I've been slacking. But really I have nothing to post. We haven't really left the house since Friday, and we haven't come across any new developmental milestones. So thus, you get a boring text post.
Josh has been sick all weekend, with fever/chills, nasty cold. So he's been in bed a lot. He also took Monday off, and worked from home (so I guess technically that wasn't OFF, but he did have a 3 hour nap).
Paisley's just been playing, eating, and sleeping. Not so much of the sleeping. She hasn't been napping really well. But that may be because we haven't been leaving the house. We've switched her over to cow's milk now, and she's doing very well on it. And she eats what we eat for meals, mostly, I just top her off with some more pureed foods (not really pureed, but mushy. Something I can spoon feed her).
As for me, I've been sewing mostly. Made another rag quilt, and 3 mini rag quilts, as well as a baby sling, and some bean bags (well, actually lentil bags). Currently making a doll, but have been procrastinating finishing, because I need to embroider the face, and I've never embroidered before. Have fabric cut for another doll, and another rag quilt, as well as an apron. So those will be my next projects. I think I'm going to take a week, and just sew a bunch of summer clothes for Paisley, but that will have to wait til April.
We've also been making a list of household jobs we want to get done in the next month or so. Lots of little touchup, etc.
Now that I think about it, Paisley and I did go out for most of Saturday, we went looking at a few open houses (about a dozen). Didn't find anything that we liked though. I did see a house a couple weeks ago that is still on the top of my list, and I've also seen listings for a couple more I wouldn't mind going to see.

More playgroup
Paisley got to check out the "soothing centre" at Barb's house. She was in it for about 20 minutes. She was starting to get a little fussy, so I put her in it, lowered the canopy so she couldn't see everyone, and hoped she might go to sleep. But she just played in it. It's amazing what just a time out does for this girl. Almost as good as a nap.
Joel was at playgroup too. He must have been in a lap when I was taking photos. But here he is when we arrived. Paisley likes to try to get him unbuckled all the time.
Notice that Paisley is slightly orange. The doctor noticed this... and I never really had noticed it. She does love her orange veggies.

Playgroup
Playgroup this last week was held at Barb's house (Cashlin's mom).
Annalise, Meredith, and Paisley were there:

And of course we can't forget Raylee, who seemed to allude all the group photos. Her bucket seat doesn't slow her down at all, she can scoot anywhere she wants to go:
The only little one that didn't come this week was Libby, but she's at the fussy 2 month stage, so we can understand.
Next week playgroup comes to my house. Not nearly as much space at our place, but will still be fun.

Saturday Slices - Cupcakes
I've decided to start theming my Saturday Slices, as it's hard to narrow down what I'll post each week. So here is my first themed Slices: CUPCAKES!

Technical Difficulties
Unfortunately I'm having some technical issues with photos today. So Saturday Slices will have to wait. Will try again a little later this morning, while Paisley naps.

Paisley's Check Up
Yesterday was Paisley's 9 month check up.
She weighed in at 18 lbs, 9 oz, so she has finally double her birth weight! She is still sitting right on the 50th percentile line for her weight.
She measured 29.5 inches, which actually makes her taller than average for her age. Maybe she'll be taller, like her dad.
I was searching for some pictures of her this week, and apparently I haven't take any yet. So I will make sure to do that today, and upload one to this post. Maybe one of her in her sunhat.
It's been nice and sunny here, but ridiculously windy. I'll take the wind if it means we can continue with these +10 C temperatures. Would be nice to have no wind, so we could go for walks, but at least we can enjoy the sun while we're out and about in the car.
The stairs are looking fantastic! So close to being done!
I'll take some more pictures of them and add them as well.
