Wow... 5 am, and I'm really up. I'll let this post go out early ;) I miss having a baby that sleeps through the night. All her sickness has thrown her off. Hopefully she's back to sleeping well again soon.

One of my favorites
I think this is one of my favorite pictures of Paisley. I was just flipping through them, and it made me smile.

Sick
Sorry for the lack of updates. We've been pretty sick this weekend. I will have some posts coming this week, as I am feeling better.
But for today I'll leave you with this link:
Cadbury Cream Egg Filled Chocolate Cupcakes
Makes me want to go buy some Cadbury eggs and give them a try :). We didn't have any chocolate this year for Easter. Since Paisley's too young, and I'm working at losing some weight (Lost 3.1% this last 2 weeks).
More updates coming tomorrow.

Still here
We're still here, but haven't had time to blog the last few days. It's been nice out, and we've been out and about a lot.
Josh has been super busy at work with a deadline. Spent all of Good Friday at the office, and will be again today. He's also been going to work for 6 am every day this last week, and working evenings til the wee hours of the morning. Hopefully after this project launches on Wednesday, he'll get some time to relax a little.

Gorgeous Weather
We've had temperatures in the high teens the last couple days (actually yesterday it hit 20), so we've been out walking the last 3 days, and playing at the park. Yesterday we went for a visit at Heather's (and Molly's). After chatting for a while, we took advantage of the nice weather and took the girls to the park. :)
I've been playing with Josh's camera this last week, so I had it along, and took some pictures of them.

It was a fun day! But I can't neglect grocery shopping another day... so that is what is on tomorrow's agenda (and possibly another walk).

Project of the Month - Complete
This month's project was Chalkboard Placemats. One side is a vinyl print that is easily wiped down, while the other side is a chalkboard, including a slot to keep a chalk. The entire mat rolls up so that it can easily be stowed in a diaper bag or purse, ready for your next restaurant visit, or appointment with you little tykes. Also great for keeping youngsters busy in places where there are no toys readily available (visiting family, church, etc). These particular ones are already spoken for, but I hope to make some more in the near future to sell.

Joel's 1!
Well yesterday we attended Joel's 1st birthday party. :)
He was so handsome:

Paisley wore a dress that my mom had passed on to me (my sister and myself both wore it, I believe):

Annalise was there:

As was Meredith:

And Cashlin:

And Libby!

Joel enjoyed his cake:

I designed a new applique (which I hope to sell, but still need to work it out a little more). Made it for Joel, along with a matching card.

We still have cats!!
Yes, although very rarely mentioned, we do have cats. One of the few words that Paisley both says and associates with the object. Just recently we started letting them in the living room again (since we now have a second gate). So they've been cuddly, and Paisley has been trying to learn how to move slow and be gentle with them. She's getting it! Oakley (grey one) lets her pet him all the time... but is a little nervous at the same time. Teemo (the orange one) avoids her.

Paisley's vocabulary includes:
Dad,
Mom,
Cat,
Up,
Uh-Oh,
Hi,
and can sing "Barbara Ann" by the Beach Boys (no... seriously!).
The only words that are ALWAYS in appropriate reference are: Up, Uh-Oh and Cat.
We have 4 people that also swear that she said "Team Canada" when we were talking about her hockey jersey collection.
And also.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH! Shhh.. he doesn't want anyone to know ;).

Projects of the Month
Every month I have a "Project of the Month." This is a feature in which I have planned a project that I have never made before. At the beginning of the month I post the supplies, and then at the end of the month (or if I finish early) I post the finished project. I never tell what the finished product will be, until I post the final picture (but I always like to hear your guesses as to what you think it is. If you're right, I will let you know that!).

Rag Quilt
I need to take some more pictures of Paisley, so I can update the blog here. But for today, I'm just double posting, and posting the same item as I did on my craft blog. But I just love this fabric, and wanted to share it with you. :)
Haven't been hearing back from many people lately, either. Very few comments. I miss the comments. I love comments! :) I do plan to get back to updating everyday, first thing in the morning. Paisley being sick just threw everything out of whack this last week. I'm happy to report that the fever is 100% gone, and now she's just got a small cough and a stuffed up nose. Last night I put on the humidifier in her room, put her vick's plug in in the outlet, and used saline drops and a nasal aspirator to clean out her nose. And she slept from 8 til 7:30 (which I actually went in to wake her up). So that's good news. Over the weekend she was only giving me about 3/4 hours of sleep at night, and even that was a little interrupted. So I'm very happy.
Ok, here is the post for today:
I finally managed to get pictures of the owl quilt I made last week. This fabric is incredibly adorable and it GLOWS IN THE DARK!
I ended up making one crib size rag quilt, and two mini rag quilts with this fabric.
First off, here is the crib size quilt:

This item can be found in both my Artfire store, and my Etsy store.
Next, here is a photos of the mini quilt:

This item can also be found in both of my online stores: Etsy and Artfire.
